Руководство туринского «Ювентуса» предложило 37-летнему Пирло должность посла клуба. По некоторым данным, игрок не станет продлевать контракт с командой из MLS. Соглашение Андреа с «Нью-Йорком» истекает в конце этого года. Предполагается, что к новой работе чемпион мира-2006 приступит в январе 2018 года.
За «Ювентус» полузащитник выступал с 2011 по 2015 годы. В составе «старой синьоры» «профессор» становился четырехкратным чемпионом Италии.
