Накануне в Москве состоялась торжественная церемония «Премии Премьер». Были награждены наиболее выдающиеся футболисты и тренеры, которые проявили себя в завершившемся первенстве России.
Одними из почетных гостей церемонии стали президент РФС Виталий Мутко, первый вице-президент РФС Никита Симонян, а также глава РФПЛ Сергей Прядкин. Одной из ведущих в этот торжественный вечер была Виктория Лопырева.
В символический состав чемпионата вошли: Игорь Акинфеев, Марио Фернандес, Василий Березуцкий (все — ЦСКА), Сесар Навас («Ростов»), Дмитрий Комбаров, Фернандо, Квинси Промес, Денис Глушаков, Роман Зобнин (все — «Спартак»), Артем Дзюба («Зенит»), Федор Смолов («Краснодар»).
Лучшим игроком сезона стал Денис Глушаков, лучшим тренером — Массимо Каррера, а клубом года — «Спартак». В номинации «Надежда» (лучший среди юношей до 21 года) первенствовал футболист ЦСКА Федор Чалов.
Алексей Безбородов был объявлен лучшим арбитром сезона, а премию «За вклад в развитие футбола» получил олимпийский чемпион 1956 года Никита Симонян.
Редакция еженедельника «Футбол» также была награждена премией «За большой вклад в популяризацию отечественного футбола».
